It is very important for all Los Banos residents to make a survey of their property and empty any containers that have unused standing water in them in order to mittigate the mosquito population. It is also important to report 'green swimming pools, those that are abandoned or have untreated standing water in them which could harbor mosquito larve to the Merced County Mosquito Abatement district so they can treat the pools.
