At The San Luis National Wildlife Refuge Near Los Banos California
Check out the antlers on this guy! A very large buck Tule Elk at the San Luis National Wildlife Preserve outside of Los Banos Ca caught our eye on a recent trip to the reserve. This endangered species is protected but thanks to the efforts of a team of naturalists, hunters, and government folk these beautiful creatures can be viewed along what is called the NWR auto-tour elk route. The huge Elk enclosure is surrounded by a dirt road that allows you to see these beautiful creatures in their natural environment.
