Another downtown business in Los Banos California is Ferry's Vacuum and Sewing Machine Hospital a small company that shares space with DJ's Draperies and Design.

It seems only natural that DJ Barcellos and Joe Ferry might share some retail space with each other. As two of the most colorful and opinionated people involved with Los Banos, a visit to this shop can, if you want it to be, turn into a very educational experience about any number of local political or historical matters.

Joe Ferry used to be a Los Banos City Councilman and his direct but friendly and matter of fact personality make him fun to listen to. DJ is also deeply committed to Los Banos and seems to be everywhere at once with ideas, opinions, and a commitment to certain causes matched by few.

By the way, I have had Joe Ferry talk me OUT of a sale he could have made when he knew that my machine was not in need of what I was going to buy. It's nice to deal with shopkeepers who appear this honest.
