Fridays at the Fairgrounds
We have a flea market in Los Banos that happens every Friday evening.

Fridays at the Fairground is for lack of a better term a flea market occurs in Los Banos California every Friday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. There are LOTS of different vendors set up. We saw things like fresh, hot churros, video games, music CD's, shoes, clothes, crafts, household goods, vegetables & fruits and much more being sold. The place actually gets quite packed with people "shopping" and generally having a good time.

The night that we went was during the election season in 2006. We met several politicians including Tommy Jones who would later become mayor of Los Banos. Others who did not do so good were there as well shaking hands and handing out election materials.

The Fridays at the Fairgrounds event started many years ago as a City sponsored event to raise money for the Recreation Department. It was held in County Park (Pacheco Blvd) and called "Fridays in the Park". The event was moved to the Fairgrounds when it became too big for the Park and is now privately operated but open to the public. Non profit groups and governmental organizations can obtain a free space to announce their services. Vendor spaces are $ 20; admission is free and parking is free.

If you like good food, produce, reasonably priced goods, or are interested in learning about real estate and mortgage companies you might want to visit the Fairgrounds on any Friday evening between the hours of 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. Admission and parking are FREE. Vendors are welcomed but must meet local health department and State Board of Equalization regulations.
