As of late I have been very busy with my contributiuons to the Los Banos Enterprise newspaper as well as the Merced Sun Star, Livingston Chronicle, and more. Many of my photos and most of my writing has been appearing on their pages.

Time has really slipped by this week. I wanted to do a write-up on the Northern California Renaissance Faire this year similar to the one I did last year, but I also wanted to do it before the fair was over so you could go and experience it for yourself.

I am however still keeping the Calendar of events pages going here and will still produce pieces for this site as I am able. But as of right now, it just will not be as often as it has been previously.

January 30 - Read This it is IMPORTANT! "Three Los Banos Unified Schools have been identified by the California Department of Public Health as having sold frozen cookie dough that has been recalled by the company due to a recent concern of Salmonella bacteria. The product, ‘Dough-To-Go’ frozen peanut butter cookie dough has been sold as a fundraiser product by Lorena Falasco Elementary School, Charleston Elementary School, and Westside Elementary School."

A Reprise... Before summer ends you should consider taking a couple of hours to drive a very few minutes from Los Banos to the San Luis National Wildlife Refuge. Each season offers different sights to see and though not as spectacular as in the winter and spring, (click all of the links!)

We hope you enjoy 'opinion journalism' with an interactive twist. Though this site is based totally on our own opinions, our goal is to bring a unique community-enhanced approach to local information exchange via community participation on the forums.

We have created a tremendous number of of pages for this site and have spent many hundreds (possibly even a couple of thousand) hours on this 'gift'. We see OurLosBanos.com (in part) as our version of service to our community. We really do love our town and want to help Los Banos by giving something back to our city in our own small way.
