"As a program offered to the community through the Merced County Department of Mental Health’s Services, the R.A.F.T. provides to the county’s youth and opportunity to learn new behaviors and reinforce positive attitudes toward living a drug-free and sober lifestyle. Children as well as family members have an opportunity to learn about healthy family communication and relationships in a safe and supportive setting.

This is a multi-component, non-residential adolescent alcohol and drug recovery program. The R.A.F.T. features the following services. * Assessment and Referral * Group Treatment * Alcohol and Drug Education * Family Consultations * Spanish speaking Parent Group * Life Skills Development * Relapse Prevention * 12 Step Meetings * Teen Issues Group * Girls World-Group * Socialization/Recreation. R.A.F.T. serves youth from 12 to 17 years of age and accepts referrals by telephone, on a walk in basis, and with a formal referral from other agencies. "
