Welcome to the heart and soul of OurLosBanos.com! This section of the Our LosBanos website is solely devoted to allowing members of the community a place to voice their personal opinions.

Our intention is that these online Los Banos Bulletin Boards will provide a place where members of the Los Banos Community and others who are interested in the town of LosBanos can interact in a positive, cooperative and cordial way with each other.

Having a place where people interested in our town can come to respectfully voice their opinions in a positive way and help each other is key to the concept of the Our Los Banos website and our vision for the LosBanos community.

We invite anyone who can follow the forum rules to participate on the Los Banos Bulletin Board. This includes old timers, citizens of our community, present & future business owners, residents, tourists, naturalists, hunters, or anyone else with pertinent views or information.

In order to participate you must read and agree to abide by the following Terms of Service, rules, policies, and declarations.

While we do not anticipate anything on the forum or on this website to be inappropriate for children we simply do not want to have to deal with all of the extra legal mishmash of knowingly allowing minors on this forum.

General -
OurLosBanos.com is intended to be a positive and helpful community forum. The Los Banos Bulletin Boards are intended to be a place where constructive personal opinions can be voiced. We require polite and respectful discourse exclusively. We INSIST on all participants being respectful and polite. We attempt to maintain the forums as safe clean place for polite discussion. Trolling (posting messages intended to incite highly negative or vitriolic discussion) is not allowed. While polite debate and discussion of opposing viewpoints is allowed, we will not tolerate rudeness, insults, personal attacks or inflammatory posts. Our decisions are final.

Illegal Activities Prohibited - OurLosBanos will not knowingly allow any illegal activities or solicitation of or for illegal activities of any kind. All users are advised that they are not allowed to participate in ANY illegal activity whatsoever. This also includes discussion of illegal activities such as music or software piracy (theft) or any other intellectual property violations.

Spamming - Spamming (repeated posting of the same or very similar posts) is not allowed. This includes using the forum email or PM system against other members. We do allow local businesses to post about their products and services in the normal course of discussion in fact we encourage local licensed contractors and businesses to participate and talk about themselves but this board is not to be used for simple commercial advertisement or exploitation.

Absolutely No Sexual Material Allowed - No posts that are sexual in nature either directly or by inference are allowed. No postings of any kind that violate this board's standards of decorum and decency will be permitted. Singles ads or other similar 'requests for attention' of this nature are also not appropriate for this venue. In short, please keep it clean and treat this forum in such a way that Mother Theresa would not be offended by reading it. OurLosBanos selected moderators will be the sole arbitrators of what violates these (generally unwritten) standards.

One Login Account Per Person - Except for moderators and admin staff members of the Los Banos Forum are allowed to only have one login account. From time to time we might allow exceptions to this rule especially for Law Enforcement and perhaps for some city officials if they wish to post in both official and non official capacities or are conducting investigations. If you lose your account information there are automated ways to get it back and we can also help you if that does not work or if you have a good reason for changing your name etc. If you REALLY *need* a second login account for some reason - let us know. We can be flexible to a point if you contact us. Exceptions will be considered on a case by case basis.

OLB Is Not Limited To These Rules - The rules and policies contained herein cover most foreseeable situations however we can not predict other developments. Hence, OurLosBanos.com and its agents reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums and our participants are not disrupted or abused in any way and that no other illegal or irresponsible activity occurs.

We reserve the right to remove any or all posts or user accounts with or without notice.

While the administrators and moderators of this forum will attempt to remove or edit any generally objectionable material as quickly as possible, it is impossible to review every message. Therefore you acknowledge that all posts made to these forums express the views and opinions of the author and not the administrators, moderators or webmaster (except for posts by these people) and hence will not be held liable.
