Welcome to our art and drawing lesson links , a subcategory of our main art links page.

Why bother with art?

Art helps you look at the world around you and see it in new ways. It is a tool that allows you to express thoughts and feelings. It adds interest, color and even information to projects.

If you never got past drawing stick figures, you're missing out on having a fun and creative tool at your disposal! Don't let your children miss out on at least giving art a try!

I hope the following links will help you incorporate art into your homeschool lessons.

A favorite -they may all be good in one way or another, but this one is "special"
Most appropriate for teens and adults
Site geared mostly to young learners
Interactive materials (flash, shockwave, etc.)
Oodles of printables

Art Posters
These are nice to print out while you are learning art. You can also learn from the posters themselves.

Homeschool Arts
Free art lessons for pencil, pen & ink and some others. There are also books for sale. I use the book lists as a library "wish list".

Incredible Art Lessons
Wow! These are great lessons using a variety of media. Many have pictures. There are lessons listed for early childhood, elementary, Jr. high, high school and even undergraduate art and MORE.

Learning How to Draw
These illustrated drawing lessons are for older children or mom. They are very well done and written by John Hagan. You'll like the step-by-step illustrated instructions. Many of the lessons deal with perspective.

The Internet changes daily so you never know if a site that is here today might be "gone" tomorrow. We suggest you save materials you want to use in the future to your hard drive (if it doesn't interfere with the copyright). Also, we can't predict what might change on a site or what advertising might be present. Surf at your own risk!
Please report any bad links to me (or inappropriate materials and / or advertising)!

Have fun surfing our links! Click on a category that interests you!

P.S. Some of the links have stuff that is good, fun, informative, etc. for mom too, not just the kids!

Submit your spectacular art to Our Los Banos .com and we'll consider posting it!
