OurLosBanos.com is intended to be a positive and helpful community forum. The Los Banos Bulletin Boards are designed to be web community where constructive discussion and opinions can be enjoyed. We require polite and respectful discourse. We INSIST on all participants being respectful and polite. We attempt to maintain the forums as safe clean place for polite discussion. Trolling (posting messages intended to incite highly negative or vitriolic discussion) is not allowed. While polite debate and discussion of opposing viewpoints is allowed, we will not generally tolerate rudeness, insults, personal attacks or inflammatory posts. Our decisions are final. OurLosBanos selected moderators will be the sole arbitrators of what violates these standards.

Illegal Activities Prohibited - OurLosBanos will not knowingly allow any illegal activities or solicitation of or for illegal activities of any kind. All users are advised that they are not allowed to participate in ANY illegal activity whatsoever. This also includes discussion of illegal activities such as music or software piracy (theft) or any other intellectual property violations.

Spamming - Spamming (repeated posting of the same or very similar posts or 'junk posts') or registrations is not allowed. This includes using the forum email or PM system against other members. We do allow local businesses and individuals to post about their products and services in the normal course of discussion in fact we encourage local licensed contractors and businesses to participate and talk about themselves but this board is not to be used for simple commercial advertisement or exploitation. (Nothing herein shall discourage legitimate members from posting for sale ads etc)

Crossposting and Duplicate Threads - We rarely allow cross posting between areas on the board. Please choose the one area that your post best fits in. Duplication of threads in different forums is not allowed.

Absolutely No Sexual Material Allowed - No posts that are sexual in nature either directly or by inference are allowed. No links to sexual material are allowed. No postings of any kind that violate this board's standards of decorum and decency will be permitted. Singles ads or other similar 'requests for attention' of this nature are also not appropriate for this venue. In short, please keep it clean and treat this forum in such a way that Mother Theresa would not be offended by reading it. OurLosBanos selected moderators will be the sole arbitrators of what violates these (generally unwritten) standards. No indecent or pornographic images are to be posted or linked.

One Login Account Per Person - Except for moderators and admin staff members of the Los Banos Forum are allowed to only have one login account. From time to time we might allow exceptions to this rule especially for Law Enforcement and perhaps for some city officials and business owners if they wish to post in both official and non official capacities or are conducting investigations. If you lose your account information there are automated ways to get it back and we can also help you if that does not work or if you have a good reason for changing your name etc. If you REALLY *need* a second login account for some reason - let us know. We can be flexible to a point if you contact us. Exceptions will be considered on a case by case basis. If you post from the same IP as another person it is a good idea to notify us before the second registration is done or all accouints from that IP may be banned outright.

Do Not Reveal People's Names Or Locations - Registered users of this system will not reveal other users real names or addresses without that person's express permission. SPECIAL NOTE TO REALTORS Using The Our Los Banos Real Estate Listing Board

Greetings Realtors!

The Our Los Banos Real Estate Listing forum board is rather special. Because of the nature of the subject matter of that part of the OurLosBanos.com bulletin board system We need to ask that you guys apply a few extra rules to yourselves when you post here.

1) When posting real estate listings you MUST post under either your name or under the name of the office that you work for in Los Banos.

2) The Los Banos real Estate Listing board is intended to be used for listings ONLY in Los Banos and in the closely surrounding unincorporated areas. Because OurLosBanos.com is supposed to be about Los Banos, the real Estate board should not be used for postings about Dos Palos, Santa Nella, Gustine, Newman, or other towns or cities. I have NOTHING against those cities, but we really are all about Los Banos and I'd like my readers to be able to count on that.
A few other notes:

You are quite welcome to post about open houses you are holding.

You are welcome to post about special events your office may be holding in Los Banos. Also if you let us know and we will consider posting that to the Events Calendar on the main site: http://www.ourlosbanos.com/events.html

You ARE allowed to cross post your events on the EVENTS section of the forum yourself: but please do not post such things as open houses there. Only legitimate special events.

You are just as much members of this community as everyone else so we encourage you to also be a part of the main discussion forums.

Please feel free to introduce yourself if you like and / or post about politics, elections, commuting, gardening, parenting, schools, or the myriad of other topics our readers talk about on the forums.
