The City of Los Banos Calif hold elections as required, to select local leaders and politicians. Elections are held on an as needed basis (usually in November) and voting at the polls is conducted, as it is most everywhere else in California, with poll workers assigned to the polling places to make sure that all votes are cast in accordance with correct laws and procedures and that voters are treated fairly.

Election results are of course tallied and posted in an official way by state and local authorities after the results are certified - but it is not at all uncommon for incoming election results to be posted in the forums section of OurLosBanos.com on the politics board where political discussion takes place. These election returns are not to be considered official.

The forums also allow users to create their own individually run polls. If you want to conduct a little straw polling of your own for any particular issue.

This page of the OurLosBanos.com website is reserved for future use and as the election season rolls around we will post more up to date information, contact points, links to politicians websites and more. Local politicians and people trying to get initiatives and ballot measures like school bonds passed are encouraged to sign up on the forums and espouse their points of view. Ballot measure and candidate discussion are always welcome. Similarly if you have petitions or other grass roots effort actions you are trying to get publicity for, or if you just want to talk and debate feel free to join the forums.
