August 17-20 - We are again having our Rev. G. B. Blackmon Scholarship Musical Concert on the 20th of August at Bethel Community Church here in Los Banos. And on Aug 17, 18, 19 we are having our choir work shop of which will be singing on the 20th of August.

The choir rehearsals will be at the First Baptist Church, 809 D. Street, in Los Banos and the public is invited to come and be apart of this great choir. If you love to sing come and join with us in the community event. This program is of course design to raise money for our scholarship program we sponsor at the church for young people who are trying to go to college.

This is our 3rd year in putting on this musical and every year it gets better. For those that just what to come and hear good singing then on Saturday at 3:33 pm the choir and other singers will be performing at the Bethel Community Church here in Los Banos, Rev. Steve Hammond, is pastor and host.

The Concert is free and the cost of being apart of the worship choir is $10 of which takes care of the cost of package material.

August 18 - Native Daughter's silent auction and dinner will be held at the United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall at 1031 Iowa. Doors open at 5:45, dinner is served at 6:30 and the auction tables begin closing at 7:15. Dinner is $5 and guests are welcome. (Source: Los Banos Enterprise)
