November 14 - Fall Festival Dinner and Silent Auction - The Fall Festival Dinner and Silent Auction are a long-standing tradition of the Los Banos United Methodist Church, and this year's event is just around the corner, on Saturday, November 14.  This is the local church's biggest fund-raiser every year, and it involves virtually everyone in our church family in some form or another.  The proceeds go toward meeting our share of the activities and missions of the world-wide United Methodist Church.

The dinner menu is unique for Los Banos (barbecued Cornish game hen, rice pilaf, green beans, salad, roll and dessert) and the price is the same as last year:  $15.00 for adults, and $7.00 for children under 12.  The serving time is from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and takeouts are available starting at 5:45 p.m.

The silent auction features a large variety of fine merchandise and services donated by members of the church family, including handicrafts, home-baked goods, gift baskets of all kinds, hosted meals, and use of a vacation home, to name just a few.  There is no charge to attend the silent auction, so even those who have other dinner plans are welcome to participate in the auction.

The entire event will be held in the church's Fellowship Hall, located at 1031 Iowa Avenue, near the intersection of Iowa and West J Street.

Tickets for the dinner can be purchased by calling the church office at (209) 826-4181, or Gregg or Juli Rice at (209) 826-1027.  You can also request tickets or get further information by e-mailing to grice@inreach.com. Source: email
