February 1 - Boy Scout Tri-tip Dinner Fundraiser will be held at 13989 Mercey Springs Road from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The dinner will include tri-tip, beans, rice and 4 soft drinks for $30. The other option is a tri-tip sandwich with chips and a soft drink for $8.

February 2 - Tee ball registration begins for ages 3-9. Contact the Department of Recreation at 209-827-7034 or visit www.losbanos.org for more information.

February 2 - Elks Pasta Night at the Los Banos Elks Lodge, 565 E. Street. Three types of pasta are sserved starting at 5 p.m. (all you can eat). Call Ray Gomes for more information at 209-826-4196.

February 3 - Representatives from Costco Hearing & Vision will be helping seniors from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at the Miller & Lux building. They will be checking and cleaning hearing aids and adjusting eye glasses.

February 3 - Golden Agers Meeting will be held at 1 p.m. at the Miller & Lux building. Anyone 50 and older is welcome to join. A BINGO game will follow the meeting.

February 5 -The Community Prayer Group is a non denominational group of people of faith from many different congregations who meet on the first Thursday of each month at 1PM. February 7 - Ag Booster Dinner Dance will be held at the O'Banion building at the fairgrounds to help raise funds for the Los Banos FFA Chapter. February 10- Challenged Support Group A parent support group offered through Challenged Family Resource Center. February 14 - 2009 Loveboat "Cruise" Dinner Dance At The Elks Club Cocktails start at 6PM dinner served at 7 PM. Details to come!

February 14 - Speed Date Comedy Performance will be performed by Shout Performing Arts Group for adults at 8 p.m. at Taqueria El Rodeo. $15 for dinner and the show.

February 26 - The High School Choirs will sponsor a Karaoke Night fundraiser.

We will start at 7:00 p.m. in the High School Multi-Purpose Room. Singers can come in at 6:30 to get signed up and choose their songs. We will offer as many prizes as we can, based on the donations we receive. Admission to watch will be $3, to enter the competition, $5. We have a very large array of songs to choose from, and the competition is open to all ages.

This class provides the opportunity to write down stories in a relaxed environment about life experiences to share with others, especially family members.
