December 1 - Stuff-n-Fluff Fundraiser at Los Banos Sportsmen (Mercey Springs). Workshops will be held at 9:30, 10:30, 11:30, 1, 2 and 3 PM. Donate $20 and you get to choose from more than 25 animals to stuff, a wishing star ceremony, a birth certificate and get to take your animal home. Accessories are available at an extra cost. For more info call Chandler at 408-843-7811. Proceeds will benefit Toys for Tots.

December 1 - Unique Christmas Boutique from 11 am to 5 PM. at 428 Bluff Court. There will be homemade pottery, handmade rosaries, fine sterling silver jewelry, hand painted silk scarves, Gold Canyon candles, wall murals, skin care products, silk flower arrangements and more.

December 4 - Charleston Elementary is selling dinner tickets in an effort to purchase a greenhouse for the school's garden projects. The family drive-thu dinner includes tri-tip, rice, beans, rolls, 2 liter soda and cookies. The dinner is hosted by the Elks Lodge. " UPDATE 12-6-2007: "Slight change in plans for SHOUT! Arts today. Due to the possibilty of rain we have gotten permission to sing INSIDE walmart. December 8 - Shopping Spree to San Francisco with Barbara Cobarruvias. A chartered bus till be leaving Los Banos at 7 am at the corner of 7th and J Streets. The bus will return home at about 11 PM. The round trip costs $30. Call Barbara at 826-9547 for more info.

December 8 - The Los Banos Volunteers for Animals will be hosting their 5th annual Pet pictures with Santa on December the 8th 10AM til ? Bring your pet and have their picture taken with Santa...He welcomes all creatures, large and small. Proceeds benefit animals who are fostered by the volunteers, for medical costs and care and feeding. $12 per sheet, multiple picture sizes available, also pictures can be sent to your individual email. This event will take place in the front of Braelin's Critters' Corner, 1004 I Street (next door to PG&E), for more information, you may call 826-8380.

December 8 - The Los Banos High School Drama Club is putting on a show! Come see "Alice in Wonderland" The play will be held in the multipurpose room at the HS at 7:30PM. Adults 5 dollars Children 3 dollars.

December 8 - the 3rd Annual Aldina Golden Ticket Drawing is taking place at 6:00 pm, rain or shine! Their post noted: "This event has been very popular and well attended in the past. Santa will be there, and refreshments will be served. We have over a hundred gifts for kids, with top prizes of two IPod Shuffles, two bikes, exercise equipment, and several cash awards. The drawing is open all children 18 and under. If your child signed up during the year, please note tomorrow is the big day! If your child hasn't signed up, no problem, just show up and they'll be issued a ticket! Entrants must be present to win. Aldina Real Estate is located at 249 W. December 8 - Wine Styles of Los Banos, will be hosting an event featuring Hatcher Wines from Murphys, California on Saturday, December 8th. From 6pm to 10pm. Lindsay Gwin from Hatcher will be on site to talk about the wines, answer questions and pour. The event is $20 per person or $15 if you are a Wine Styles Wine Club member, the event includes wine tasting and hors d'oeuvres. Matthew Hatcher is owner and winemaker. His success as an amateur winemaker motivated him to risk all and begin this venture. He's assisted by his brother and business partner, Sewell Hatcher they produce less than 6000 cases per year. December 8 - Golden Valley Harley-Davidson HOG Toy RUN - Ride from Los Banos to Dos Palos to help families enjoy Christmas. This is an annual run that is growing each year.

December 8 - Parks And Rec is having a Breakfast with Santa at Fire Station #1, 333 Seventh - street Santa arrives at 7:50 AM - Visits 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM. Pre-sale tickets are $6. Tickets at the door are $8. Pictures with Santa are $2. There will be crafts and activities for parents and children.Breakfast includes ham, eggs, pancakes and a beverage. Santa will be leaving his sleigh at the North Pole (I think it is being waxed for the big day) and will be choppered in by Silver State Helicopters at 8AM sharp!

December 9 - Children's Memorial Day & Candlelight Vigil - Bereaved families of Los Banos and nearby communities will be lighting candles at 7 PM. in Pacheco Park in front of the recreation building. There will be music, refreshment and a slide show. There is no charge and candles will be provided. December 12- Los Banos Tigers Trap Team Parent's Club Meetings 6:30 PM. at LB Sportsmen's facility on Mercey Springs Rd. If your child is participating or wants to...these meetings are important to attend! Kids practice every Monday night at the trap range on Mercey Springs -if anyone's interested in observing before committing to the team. Due to the large growth in team membership from the last years, parent participation is really needed!! This is a family-oriented, coed, scholastic sport.

December 12- The High School Band and Choir will perform their Winter Concert on Wednesday, December 12, at 7:30p.m. in the High School multipurpose Room. the band and choir will perform together for the first time in 23 years. The Jazz band and the Marching band are also scheduled to appear.

We will be having activities such as fishing, archery, learning first aid, tying knots, wood working and more. All meals are included and the cost is $15.00 per person.
