October 15 - Dog Day in the Park (at Pacheco
Park). 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
This is a fundraiser to help support the Los Banos
Volunteers for Animals. These are the folks who help save hundreds of animals
each year and volunteer their time and efforts at the town's animal shelter.
Bring your dog to the park and have a great time participating in the contests!
There will be contests for the "fastest sit", pet costumes, the best
trick and so on. There will also be a silent auction. Come and help support animal
rescue.

honor of St. Francis, the patron Saint of Animals, there will be an Animal Blessing
at St. Alban's Episcopal Church at
the 10:00 A. M. service. Everyone is welcome to bring either a live animal (on
a leash or in a cage), a stuffed one or a picture of one. A barbecue will follow
the service and participants are asked to bring a side dish to share and /or sodas.
