Park Day! Every Wednesday - 10 AM - Mothers and children of all ages meet in the park to chat and let their kids play. Children of all ages are welcome from infant to seventeen. Click here for more information.

Calendar Events:

 

November 1 - The first Wednesday of each month is the regular dinner meeting night of the Los Banos Sportsmen’s Association. Guests are welcome.

November 1 - Free childbirth preparation class begins. Classes are held for 6 weeks on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Please call (209)826-0591 for more detailed class information or to register.

November 1 - Council meeting at City Hall, 7:00 PM

November 1- O.L.F. 4-H Club Meeting at 6:00 PM at 1621 Center Ave. (St. Joseph Parish Hall). Call Linda at 826-9461 or Donna at 826-2022 if you have any questions.

November 2 - Men's Community Prayer Group. Men from different congregations meet each 1st Thursday of the month. All are welcome and the meeting is non-denominational. You can join them at City Hall (520 J St.) from noon to 1 p.m. For more info. call Brenda Smith or Steve Hammond at 827-0797.

Novmeber 3 - Los Banos CWA (California Waterfowl Association) Dinner. Tom Homen, (209) 587-0886; or Dennis Hatfield, (650) 561-9279.

November 3 - Soroptimist Wine and Cheese Tasting + Silent Auction with musical performances. Tickets are $15. Call 209-827-1924

November 3 - Kingsview Craft Fair (703 I Street) from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lots of different holiday items will be for sale!

November 3 - Joe Sousa will be holding a chat session this Friday night at Dutra's (830 I. Street). 7:00

November 4 - Soroptimist Club: Victorian Tea. Tickets are $25. Call 209-827-1924

November 4 - Vaccination Clinic for Pets at the Los Banos Veterinary Clinic 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.,
1900 E. Pacheco Blvd. Call (209)-826-5860.

November 4 - Open House Fun at Triangle Rock
You're invited to visit from 10-3pm with free admission - rain or shine.
There is a tour, exhibit, big machines, free food, family fun! Fun for the entire family!! Take a walking tour of the Los Banos plant. Join in fun activities and learn how rock is made at the mini-miner's workshop tent. Play with Tonkas in the giant sandbox. Visit aggregates 101 and follow the path of the rock from the ground to a concrete road. Enjoy a free bbq lunch in the quarry cafe tent. Enter a raffle to win prizes, raffle prizes drawn every hour. Bounce house and golf cart tours available.
We're opening our house to you for a behind the scenes look into the Triangle Rock Quarry. Learn how we produce the crushed rock that is used to build and maintain your community infrastructure, homes, schools and businesses as well as fuels the Los Banos economy. We are proud of what we do and are committed to being a responsible neighbor. We hope you and your family can stop by. Take 152 to Ortigalita make a right on Sunset. Take it almost to Volta Road.

November 4 - Treasures From The Attic Boutique.
St. Johns Lutheran Church will be have a Treasures From The Attic Boutique at 9am. Everyone is invited to come and share a cup of tea with friends and shop in our boutique. This is not a garage sale , but a sale of antique and beautiful gift items from days gone by. St. Johns is located at 250 W Adams, Los Banos. ( Right behind Baskin Robbins)

November 5 - Meet Caryn Cox at the Los Banos City Park at 7th and Pacheco Blvd. from 1:30 until ?
Caryn will answer questions and let everyone know what she stands for. Come and bring your questions!

November 6 - Candle Comforts Open House Candle Party. 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. 539 Pinewood Ct. Los Banos, CA Bring a guest and receive a FREE gift Drawing for Door Prizes Book a Candle Party and receive a FREE gift Click here for more details.

November 6 - December 15 - Basketball, Akido and dog obiedience class sign ups through LosBanos.org

November 6 - Los Banos Tigers Football Team Drive-Through Dinner. Call Cookie at 704-7330 or 826-5658. The dinner will cost $8.00 and includes chile verde, rice and beans with 3 tortillas (made by Cecilia's).

November 7 - At 1:30 p.m. the Golden Agers Club meets at the Miller Lux Building. Call 826-5257 or 827-7046.

November 7 - Election day! Go and vote! Polls are open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.

November 8 - Community Resource Council Meeting at the Police Annex, 9:00 AM

November 8 - Planning Commission Meeting at City Hall, 7:00 PM

November 8 - Diabetic Support Group for adults at Memorial Hospital 600 I Street . 10:30 a.m. - Noon. Call 826-0591 ext. 356 or 270.

November 8 - Los Banos Tigers Trap Team Parent's Club Meetings 6:30 PM at LB Sportsmens facility on Mercey Springs Rd. If your child is participating or wants to...these meetings are important to attend! Kids pratice every Monday night at the trap range on Mercey Springs -if anyone's interested in observing before commiting to the team. Due to the large growth in team membership from the last years, parent participation is really needed!! This is a family-oriented, co-ed, scholastic sport.

November 9 - Teen diabetic support group held at 6:30 PM in the Memorial Hospital Los Banos Education Center 600 West I Street Suite D. To join please call Jessica Gomez BSN at 826-0591 ext 356.

November 9 - Military Family Suppport Group meets at the Vagabond Inn at 7 p.m.
"We're here to lend a shoulder to lean on. We send out care packages to those still deployed. We also maintain the Yellow Ribbons in the park. Please join us."

November 10 - School Board Meeting at City Hall, 7:00 PM

November 10 - Kingsview Craft Fair (703 I Street) from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lots of different holiday items will be for sale!

November 10 - Beta Sigma Phi Turkey Dinner Drive-Through from 5 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. and then dine-in starting at 7 p.m. Get tickes for $12.50 by calling DiAnn at 826-3503. There will also be a raffle of a shotgun. Raffle tickets are $5.00.

November 11 - Carseat safety class offered at Memorial Hospital. The cost of the class is $20 and you can receive a car seat for attending. Contact Cheryl Hixson at 826-0591 ext. 270.

November 11 - South Bay Soaring Society: Aero Tow - Held at Los Banos Creek Reservoir. Click here for more info.

November 11 - Westside Country Dancers 12th annual Dinner-Dance at the D.E.S. Hall 1155 I St.
6:30 p.m. BBQ Tri-tip and chicken plus all the fixings!
$25.00 per person with advance ticket sales only
8:00 p.m. until midnight: Dance with music by DJ Pam McCrumb -Lots of room for swing, line and couples!

November 12 - United Methodist Church Dinner from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at 1031 Iowa. The dinner tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children under 12. You can call 826-1027 (Gregg Rice) or 827-1974 (Wilma Ditter) for tickets. Dinner includes a Cornish game hen, rice pilaf, salad, green beans, dessert, and a beverage. There will also be a silent auction.

November 12 - Prudential Home Tours and Raffle.
Prudential will be having about 16 open houses. For each home that you go to, you will fill out a raffel ticket and they are going to have a drawing for a $100 Savemart gift card. It is a fun way to get see a lot of homes in one day, and maybe win a prize.

November 17 - Shows at Dutra's (830 I. Street): Peaceable Jones, Asiago, and Nadine. The show starts at 8 p.m. and is free with no admission fee.

November 18 - D.E.S. Association's Cioppino dinner and dance. All the shrimp and crab you can eat!

November 18 - Scouting for Food Drive. Drop off non-perishable items in front of Save Mart and Food 4 Less between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Frozen turkeys and monetary donations are also accepted.

November 19 - Manna Minstries Thanksgiving Celebration at the United Methodist Church at 5 p.m. This Thanksgiving dinner will include turkey and all the trimmings.

November 21 - Airport Commission Meeting at City Hall, 5:00 PM

November 21 - Parks and Recreation Commission Meeting at City Hall, 6:30 PM

November 23 - Thanksgiving, City Offices Closed. Trash pick-up will be one day late Thursday and Friday due to the holiday.

November 24 - Opening of HoldenTrees
9 am - 10 pm located at 1420 Pacheco Blvd next to Quiznos

November 25 - CPR class given at Memorial Hospital. Cost is $10.00. 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM. Call 826-0591 Ext. 270 or 356 to register.

November 25 - Free sibling class from 10 AM to 11 AM at Memorial Hospital.

There is a senior and disabled persons lunch from noon to 1 p.m. at McArthur Apartments, 1130 F St.
Food costs $2 and you don't have to worry about the cleanup!

Tuesdays:

The Rotary Club meets at Espanas at noon. For more information call Gene Leib at 826-3831.

Good of the order meeting at the Los Banos Elks Lodge, 545 6th Street. 7 p.m.

TOPS club meets at 10 a.m. at the MHLB Education Center on Texas Street (across from Memorial Hospital). Weigh-in is at 9:30 a.m.

Food Addicts Meeting from 8-9:30 a.m. at the Memorial Hospital Education Center

Manna Ministries invites anyone who is lonely, hungry, needy or just wants company to have a free, hot meal at 5 p.m. Please join them at the United Methodist Church. For more info. call 826-4642 (Claire Jensen)or 826-1992 (Laree Rogers).

AA Meetings:
Alcoholics Anonymous meets at the Miller and Lux Building, 830 Sixth St.
Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30 p.m.
Sunday at 7 p.m. at the Los Banos Recreation Hall in Pacheco Park
Monday through Friday from noon to 1 p.m.
Wednesday and Saturday evenings from 7 to 8 p.m.

Alcoholics Anonymous Serenity at Noon Group meets Mondays through Fridays in the recreation hall at 903 Pacheco Blvd. from noon to 1 p.m.
They also meet on Wednesday and Saturday evenings from 7 to 8 p.m.

Narcotics Anonymous meets Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the Greyhound Bus Depot, 820 G St.

Victory Outreach 12-Step Substance abuse group meets every Monday 7:30 p.m. at 1231 Fourth St. in the rear building.
