Park Day! Every Wednesday - 10 AM - Mothers and children of all ages meet in the park to chat and let their kids play. Children of all ages are welcome from infant to seventeen. Click here for more information.

Dec. 1 - Chamber of Commerce's Christmas Parade in the downtown shopping district. The parade starts at 6:00 pm. Call the chamber office at 826-2495 RAIN OR SHINE!!

Dec. 1 - Cops for Kids" Toy Donation. Assist 2 Sell is an official drop off location for the "Cops for Kids" toy donation program. You can donate any NEW unwrapped toy at this location 623 J St, Los Banos.

Dec 2 - The Los Banos Arts Council is inviting the Los Banos Community Children to their annual FREE Christmas Craft Faire Saturday December 2nd, 2006. This will be held at the Ted Falasco Arts Center 1105 Fifth Street. Activities will include 25 crafts for children to make for Christmas, face painting, pictures with Santa, and a holiday gift bag for each child who attends. The event will be from 10:00 AM to 2:00PM

Dec. 2 - Soroptmist of Los Banos in conjunction with Ca. Dept of Fish & Game will be hosting it's annual Women's Pheasant Hunt out in Gustine. If anyone is interested please contact Doug Bowman @ 559.243.4005 for application and directions. Jr. gal hunters welcome!

Dec. 2 - SAMURAI NIGHT AT WILLIAMS KENPO KARATE!!! Join us for a night of fun and training! 6pm-8pm There will be sword training (soft foam swords), pizza and drinks,and obstacle courses. There will be a sword tournament! There will also be pictures taken with a real sword! (for a fee of $5) Parents, Take a break for 2 hours. Drop the kids off at our school and go Christmas shopping! Admission is only $25 per person. ( Families with multiple siblings receive a discount) Address is 932 I Street. (Next to PG&E office) or call 827-1110 for more information.

Dec. 5 - At 1:30 p.m. the Golden Agers Club meets at the Miller Lux Building. Call 826-5257 or 827-7046.

Dec. 6 - The first Wednesday of each month is the regular dinner meeting night of the Los Banos Sportsmen’s Association. Guests are welcome. Los Banos Sportsmen's dinner meeting

Dec. 6 - O.L.F. 4-H Club Meeting at 6:00 PM at 1621 Center Ave. (St. Joseph Parish Hall). Call Linda at 826-9461 or Donna at 826-2022 if you have any questions.

Dec. 7 - Men's Community Prayer Group. Men from different congregations meet each 1st Thursday of the month. All are welcome and the meeting is nondenominational. You can join them at City Hall (520 J St.) from noon to 1 p.m. For more info. Call Brenda Smith or Steve Hammond at 827-0797.

Dec. 7 - Holiday Open House in conjunction with the Los Banos Chamber of Commerce Mixer), 5:30 pm to 8:30 PM at Pearson's Jewelers

Dec. 8 - School Board Meeting at City Hall, 7 PM

Dec. 8 - Kiwanis Bingo Benefit for the Los Banos marching band, 6 p.m. at the Miller and Lux Building on I Street.

Dec. 9 - Carseat safety class offered at Memorial Hospital. The cost of the class is $20 and you can receive a car seat for attending. Contact Cheryl Hixson at 826-0591 ext. 270.

Dec. 9 -10 - 4th Annual "Santa Paws" Event At Braelin’s Critters’ Corner Pet & Feed Bring your pet and have their picture taken with Santa! Santa welcomes ALL Creatures Large and Small. Santa’s helper will be taking digital pictures this year Date: December 9th Time: 10 am – 5:00 PM Place: Braelin’s Critters’ Corner Pet & Feed 1004 I Street, Los Banos Donation: $10.00 per sheet Samples of picture sizes and border choices available. Also. picture can be emailed for additional fee. All proceeds go to the LBVFA to help cover medical costs and care of the animals fostered by volunteers

Dec. 9 - PAL Toys for Tots at Premiere Cinemas. The Los Banos Police Activity League is working in conjunction with Premiere Cinemas for a canned food drive. At 1 p.m., if you pay one dollar or donate one can of food, you can get in to see the movie "The Polar Express" on the big screen.

Dec. 9 - The arrival of St. Nicholas, the patron Saint of Christmas, will be celebrated at the 10:00 a.. service on Dec. 9th at St. Alban's Episcopal Church; 401 W. L (at Illinois). More information can be obtained by calling 826-2812. The Vicar/Pastor is the Rev. John Combs.

Dec. 9 - Breakfast with Santa at Fire Station One 8 am- noon.
Enjoy breakfast with the people in our community and visit with Santa. There will be crafts & activities for parents and children. Breakfast tickets are available for purchase at the Recreation Department or on-line at www.losbanos.org.

Dec. 9 - Christmas Bazaar at New Life Community Church 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Dec. 10 - Compassionate Friends Candle Lighting Event. Compassionate Friends is an international support organization for families that have experienced the death of a child. To learn more about The Compassionate Friends, visit their website at www.compassionatefriends.org
Light a candle for all children who have died at 7 PM Pacheco Park.
To have photos included in the power point presentation; take your photo to Stacy at Copy Shipping Solutions/Office Supply Express at 233 I street. Please include your name and phone number on the back of the photo in the event they can not be scanned at that time. The deadline for photo submission is 12/8/06. There will be a table for photo display.

Dec. 13 - Los Banos Tigers Trap Team Parent's Club Meetings 6:30 PM at LB Sportsmens facility on Mercey Springs Rd. If your child is participating or wants to...these meetings are important to attend! Kids pratice every Monday night at the trap range on Mercey Springs -if anyone's interested in observing before committing to the team. Due to the large growth in team membership from the last years, parent participation is really needed!! This is a family-oriented, co-ed, scholastic sport.

Dec. 13 - Los Banos High School's 22nd Annual Winter Choral Concert featuring Handel's Messiah with orchestra, in the High School Multi-Purpose Room. Advance tickets will be available by the beginning of December. $6 for adults $3 students Free under 12.

Dec. 14 - Military Family Support Group Annual Military Family Christmas party. Military Family Support Group meets at the Vagabond Inn at 7 p.m.
"We're here to lend a shoulder to lean on. We send out care packages to those still deployed. We also maintain the Yellow Ribbons in the park. Please join us."

Dec. 14 - R.S.V.P. for New Year's Eve Party (See the 31st for more details).

Dec. 13 - 15 - A Christmas Journey, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Bethel Community Church, 415 I Street. The journey begins every 15 minutes. Call 827-0797 for more info.

Dec 15 - LBHS Band Open House Friday Dec 15 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. There will be Home Interiors, Mary Kay, Beauty Supply, and Dips and Soups Displayers there for Christmas Shopping. They will also have Polish Dogs for those of you coming right after work along with drinks and sodas. Please come by and support your local band. The open house will be at the high school band room.

Dec. 15 - Items for Sale at the High School Band Room Open House.
So there will be these items for sale: Far Home Interiors, Mary Kay, Beauty Supply, possibly Cookies Jewelry and Pampered Chef. Please come shop and support our students.

Dec. 16 - 7:30 p.m. Concert at the Ted Falasco Arts Center: The Edlos Christmas Concert.

Dec. 16 -17 - Christmas Lights Activity & City-wide Contest. Prizes will be mailed to houses that are the best decorated in several categories. See details by clicking here. Join members of our community in driving around and looking at the Chrismtas lights and decorations. Become part of an annual tradition in its first year!

Dec. 16 - The Los Banos Dachshund Group Meetup at 1 p.m., Pacheco Park.

Dec. 16 - In Shape City will be hosting a Christmas Party for the community on Dec.16th from 11:00am to 2:00pm. Santa will be here as well as food, fun, prizes, and goodie bags for the first 100 children.
