The Bible In One Year Bible Reading For Day Number - 224 Psalms
-- 96{1} O sing
unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth. {2} Sing
unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day. {3}
Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people. {4}
For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all
gods. {5} For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made
the heavens. {6} Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty
are in his sanctuary. {7} Give unto the LORD, O ye kindreds of the
people, give unto the LORD glory and strength. {8} Give unto the LORD
the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts.
{9} O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all
the earth. {10} Say among the heathen that the LORD reigneth: the world
also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people
righteously. {11} Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad;
let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof. {12} Let the field be joyful,
and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice {13}
Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge
the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.
Psalms -- 97{1}
The LORD reigneth; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad thereof.
{2} Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment
are the habitation of his throne. {3} A fire goeth before him, and
burneth up his enemies round about. {4} His lightnings enlightened
the world: the earth saw, and trembled. {5} The hills melted like wax
at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
{6} The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory.
{7} Confounded be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves
of idols: worship him, all ye gods. {8} Zion heard, and was glad; and
the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of thy judgments, O LORD. {9}
For thou, LORD, art high above all the earth: thou art exalted far above all gods.
{10} Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints;
he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked. {11} Light is sown
for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart. {12} Rejoice
in the LORD, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
Psalms -- 98{1}
O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right
hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory. {2} The LORD hath
made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight
of the heathen. {3} He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward
the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our
God. {4} Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud
noise, and rejoice, and sing praise. {5} Sing unto the LORD with the
harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm. {6} With trumpets and
sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the LORD, the King. {7}
Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
{8} Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together
{9} Before the LORD; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness
shall he judge the world, and the people with equity. Romans
-- 13{1}
Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of
God: the powers that be are ordained of God. {2} Whosoever therefore
resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall
receive to themselves damnation. {3} For rulers are not a terror to
good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that
which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: {4} For he is
the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid;
for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger
to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. {5} Wherefore ye must needs
be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake. {6} For
for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually
upon this very thing. {7} Render therefore to all their dues: tribute
to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom
honour. {8} Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that
loveth another hath fulfilled the law. {9} For this, Thou shalt not
commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear
false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it
is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour
as thyself. {10} Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love
is the fulfilling of the law. {11} And that, knowing the time, that
now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than
when we believed. {12} The night is far spent, the day is at hand:
let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour
of light. {13} Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting
and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
{14} But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the
flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
