Highlights of the Recreation Section

We have done extensive work developing the Recreation section. While this section is still a work in progress, we think you will find that the portion of the recreation section dealing with Parks In the city of Los Banos Ca to be a real gem of this part of the OLB website. We have visited and photographed every single park in town and written up a short description of it and developed a web page for each. Each park's page has a short description of the park along with a list of features such as barbecues, tennis courts, restroom facilities and more. There are also helpful comparative charts as well as an image-map showing all of the parks in Los Banos. We hope this will help you to plan your next outing, company event, or family weekend.

We have also developed a separate set of pages having to do with natural and outdoor recreation that is available near Los Banos.

Highlights of the Education Section

Schools and education play an incredible role in any community and Los Banos is no exception. We think that you will find our Education section to be.. well... educational! (sorry, sorry yea I know) In particular those who are in the Los Banos home education and or charter school communities will find the Homeschooling in Los Banos section of particular interest and benefit. Person's interested in supplementing their kids public education or thinking of homeschooling would also find a large number of resources in the homeschool section. There is also a fantastic resource here at OLB where parents looking to arrange play time for their children can come and find out when and where the next weekly play-date gathering is. Importantly these gatherings is not just for little kids, the groups accept children all the way from babies on up into their senior year of high school. We also have two special bulletin boards dealing with education in our forums section for you to discus education in our town.

Highlights of the Dining And Food Section

Food.. Wonderful food!. Everyone has an opinion on the restaurants in this city and the Our Los Banos Dining Section discloses OUR personal opinions of local restaurants in an ever-expanding set of Restaurant reviews. As with all other portions of this website the Restaurant Reviews section is an ever-growing and evolving resource. Our reviews tend to be pretty detailed and cover all aspects of the dining experience from the aesthetics of the building to the cleanliness of the restrooms to the service experience and of course we talk about the food itself. We certainly do not expect everyone to agree with our assessments, and we encourage you to visit each place we review and discuss YOUR experience (in a polite way) on our forums.

Highlights of the Maps & Photos Section

This Los Banos map and photos section offers readers links to maps, aerial and satellite photographs of the city. Many if not most of these maps are interactive and can be customized to your needs. Some mapping sites give point to point or turn by turn driving directions and or offer trip planning. However this section has a lot more to offer than just simple maps. We have also found some fantastic specialized mapping resources including special online real estate and topographical maps and using the proper tools on one of the sites you can find information on a plethora of topics including General Property Information, Zoning Information, Limited Tax Roll Information, Flood Zones, Planning Data, Voting Precincts, Some Census 2000 Data, Supervisorial Districts, Parcel Numbers, Plot Sizes, Assessed County Values, Locations of Schools, Parks, Fire Stations, Police Stations, and more!
